I'm pleased to announce our September pattern, the Sightseeing Skirt. The Sightseeing Skirt is a bias-cut, half circle skirt, practical for casual wear, but with a satisfying swish.
Cutting the skirt on the bias gives a lovely drape, and forms a striking chevron when made in a stripe, check or directional fabric.
Originally conceived as a pattern extension to the Cosmopolitan dress, the Sightseeing Skirt also works great as a standalone separate with the included waistband, or with any number of bodices (the photos show the skirt worn with the 1941 shirtwaist bodice made as a cropped jacket). You can also optionally add the in-seam pockets from the Going Places Skirt.
The Sightseeing Skirt is available in vintage sizes 14-24. Get the pattern and instructions on my Patreon page.
